It might seem unlikely Pamela Anderson and Doctor Who star Colin Baker have anything in common. But a recent impromptu meeting between the pair in Santa Monica revealed a shared interest, following a spontaneous impression of Homer Simpson."As we passed a Belgian chocolate shop, one of my companions uttered the word 'chocolate' in the same tones Homer Simpson intones 'beer!'," the 65-year-old English actor explains. "As we waited for the lights to change to Walk to allow us the escape the temptations of confectionary, I intoned Homer's actual words."
"An American woman standing at the curbside said, 'Now you're talking!' and laughed. We chatted, and as she walked away I said to my companions, 'You know she looked a bit like Pamela Anderson. 'That,' replied one of them 'was because she was Pamela Anderson'."
And while Colin – best known as the sixth incarnation of the Time Lord – took a while to identify the Baywatch star, he remains optimistic Pamela didn't have the same difficulty. "I would love to think she said to her female companion that I looked a bit like the bloke who used to play Doctor Who. No, not Tom! The other one!".
